When they crossed to the other side, the disciples forgot to take bread.

They discussed this among themselves and concluded, “It is because we did not bring any bread.”

Aware of their conversation, Jesus said, “You of little faith, why are you debating among yourselves about having no bread?

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

Then Jesus came over and touched them. “Get up,” He said. “Do not be afraid.”

I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not heal him.”

But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ëevery matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.í

Again, I tell you truly that if two of you on the earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven.

But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

“Look,” Peter replied, “we have left everything to follow You. What then will there be for us?”

If anyone questions you, tell him that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.”

So the disciples went and did as Jesus had directed them.

“Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ëBe lifted up and thrown into the sea,í it will happen.

If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it, and built a tower. Then he rented it out to some tenants and went away on a journey.

Again, he sent other servants, more than the first group. But the tenants did the same to them.

Finally, he sent his son to them. ëThey will respect my son,í he said.

At that time many will fall away and will betray and hate one another,

But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.
